EDUCATION INITIATIVES
On the Mark Dyslexia Clinic, Inc.
On the Mark Dyslexia Clinic Inc is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote the literacy of dyslexic students, grades K-12, in northeast Wisconsin by providing a structured literacy program through trained tutors and dyslexia education for parents, teachers and the community.
Clinic hours are 1-6 pm Monday through Thursday during the school year and 8 am-4 pm in the summer. We serve 75 students in our 7-week summer session and typically provide tutoring for 50 students during the school year. The demand for our services is significant with approximately 70 on our waiting list.
OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE
Tutoring
The clinic is always looking for individuals interested in becoming tutors. Tutors must have a bachelor’s degree and be willing to attend a 3-day virtual training paid for by the clinic. Tutors may choose to volunteer or be paid a stipend for each hour spent with a student. We are also presently looking for a part-time administrative assistant for fall.
Donations
We appreciate the donations received and the service of members who serve on our board, tutor students and advocate for our ministry. For more information, visit the On the Mark Dyslexia Clinic website.
