Ecumenical Partnership for Housing
Jubilee House
Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH) provides safety, stability and solutions leading to self-sufficiency for families with children facing homelessness. Union Church was an early EPH partner, and Jubilee House has been a safe, warm and welcoming home used by many families over the years.
EPH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
EPH owns and manages over 20 family-sized homes within its transitional housing program. Volunteers help with maintaining the homes, assisting with childcare, mentoring, office support and serving on committees. Additional information can be found at https://www.ephgb.org/volunteer.
JUBILEE HOUSE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Jubilee House houses one family at a time and turns over 1-2 times per year, depending on the family situation. EPH assists families with housing, employment, goal setting (such as a parent completing school) and financial management skills.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- General cleaning and bedrooms setup and kitchen restock when a turnover happens.
- Maintaining the outside of the building and yard throughout the year.
- Donating items to help defray the cost of a turnover, including cleaning supplies, laundry baskets and new / gently-used twin or queen sheets, blankets, pillows and towels.
- Donating grocery store or Menard’s gift card to help defray the cost of the turnover.
