We believe that Christ is the living Lord of the church...
That creeds are testimonies rather than tests of our faith...
That committing ourselves to a faithful relationship with
God in Christ and to all Christ's sisters and brothers is
the substance of our religion...
That God's identity is woven with saving love rather than
condemning judgment...
That we are all on a wondrous journey that leads us into a
destiny of justice and peace for all people.
Membership
Membership at Union Church means making a faith commitment to God
in Jesus Christ and to God's children. Members promise to be an active
and supportive participant in this family of Christ named Union Church.
We receive new members through the affirmation of our historic Bond
of Union:
"We accept the religion of love and service which
Jesus lived and
taught, and declare it our purpose to strive to do the will of God,
and to make Christ's Spirit dominant in our lives and in all human
relations."
